TEHILIM GROUPS
Women have created tehilim groups
that meet in homes, meeting halls or synagogues
at convenient times such as
- After they light candles Friday night
- Shabbas afternoon
- Sunday mornings
- Weekdays mornings
24 Tehilim books are provided
- The women each take a book & say all the tehilim in that book
- When they finish one book
they start another & so on
until all 24 books have
been said - There is no talking until everyone has completed their book (s)
ON SHABBAS & HOLIDAYS
- In the groups that meet in homes, you don't say the names unless the situation
is critical - In the synagogue after the Torah is read, a prayer (called
a mi'sheberach) is said for those who are ill.
You can tell your Rabbi or the Gabai
if you have a
name that needs to be included
Girls from 7th grade & up attending Jewish day schools & yeshivas
