Can I talk to G-d?
- Yes
- Except in places that are not appropriate like the bathroom

Can I eat with my kids & then daven after I get them settled?
- Yes
- You can have food if it gives you more strength to have concentration (kavana)
when you pray

Can I wear a robe when I'm praying?
- Yes
- If it's a nice clean robe

Is it ok to say part of the davening when I'm driving?
- No you can't concentrate (have kavanah) when you are driving
- You may pray (daven) until Baruch Sha 'awmar & have a break for an hour & then finish
- You can't drive car pool during this break
- You may pray (daven) until Shemoneh Esrei & have a break for an hour & then finish

Can I say Shma while I'm washing dishes or doing laundry?
- No
- You should shorten your davening if you don't have enough time to say all of it with full concentration (kavana)

How can I make my davening meaningful
if I don’t know enough Hebrew to understand what I’m saying?
- Take it one prayer at a time
- Use a Linear siddur that has English translation under each word
- There are many words that are repeated often
- Daven using the English translation of the Hebrew
Review the prayer line by line at first checking the translation of each Hebrew word
When you understand the meaning of 1 line start working on the next line, etc.
