KADDISH

My mother died & my by brothers aren’t observant
so there is no one to say Kaddish for her. What can I do?
- Women are not obligated to perform time-bound mitzvahs& the Kaddish has specific times when it is said.
- You may contact your local synagogue & ask if someone will say Kaddish for your mother. There is usually a donation required for this service.
- You can also have someone in Israel say Kaddish for you.
There are organizations that offer this service & some (SayKaddish.com) are on the internet. There is usually a donation required for this service.

If I don't have to say Kaddish & I’m trying to catch up with davening
do I have to answer to Kaddish?
- While saying Shma
"Yehai shmei rabbaw..." & the "awe'mein" after "tush'bechaws'owe "necheh'maw'sow" should be
answered in the midde of "Shma"
- While saying Shemona Esrei
No interruptions whatsoever until after you've recited the verse of "Yi'hiyu li'raw'tzone"
just prior to "eloh'hai nih'tzore" at which point you may answer "yehai shmei ra'baw..."
- While saying Psukei D’Zimrah
In the middle of "Baw'ruch Sheh'awe'mahr" you may answer"Yi'hay shmei rah'baw..." & the"'Awh'mein" after "tush'bechos'owe 'necheh'maws'owe"
In the middle of "Yish'ta'bach" one may answer "Yehei shmei rah'baw" & the "Awe'mein"
after 'tush'bechos'owe v'necheh'maws'owe'
Throughout Psukei Dezimrah you should answer "Awh'mein" to any bracha at any time that
you're at the end of any posuk. If you’re in the middle of another prayer, make sure to keep your finger on your place so you can continue after you answer to the Kaddish
