Meat Balls Or Lamb Balls & Spaghetti
INGREDIENTS
SAUCE
- 1 Onion
- 1 Red Pepper
- 3 Cloves garlic
- 1/2 C Basil (chopped)
- 16 oz Tomato (sauce)
- 6 oz Tomato paste
- 3 C Water
- ¼ C Wine (red)
- 1 T Sugar
- Salt & pepper to taste
MEAT
- 1 Egg
- 1/4 C Basil, chopped
- 1/4 C Parsley
- 2 Garlic (cloves) (chopped) (crushed)
- 1/4 C Ketchup or tomato sauce
- 1/4 C Bread crumbs
- 2 lbs Beef OR Lamb (ground)
- 1 pkg Spaghetti
DIRECTIONS
- 1. Make sauce: Sauté onion, pepper & garlic with salt & pepper for ten minutes.
- 2. Add chopped basil & sauté for one minute.
- 3. Add tomato sauce, paste, water, wine & sugar & salt & pepper to taste, bring to a boil.
- 4. There will be chunks of vegetables in the sauce.
- 5. If you prefer a smoother sauce, blend the sauce with an immersion blender before
adding the meatballs or lamb meat balls. - 6. Then make your meatballs or lamb meat balls while sauce is simmering.
- 7. Mix the egg, basil, parsley, garlic & black pepper, ketchup & bread crumbs.
- 8. Add the ground meat & roll into balls.
- 9. Add your balls to simmering sauce & cook covered for 25-30 minutes on low flame.
- 10. Cook spaghetti al dente according to package directions.
- 11. Serve with your meatballs or lamb meaballs.
